I know this world, because I lived it.
Eighteen years inside federal government taught me more about the cost of high-stakes work than any textbook ever could.
I spent nearly two decades in federal acquisition, managing contracts, navigating bureaucratic pressure, leading teams, and showing up every single day for work that mattered. I also carried what a lot of women in that world carry: the professional load, the caregiving responsibilities, the community expectations, and the invisible weight of being a Black woman in leadership in spaces that weren’t always designed for us.
At some point, my body started communicating what my schedule refused to acknowledge. I was exhausted in ways sleep couldn’t fix. My hormones were shifting. My stress response was running on overdrive. And the generic wellness advice I found, juice cleanses, 5am routines, 30-day resets, was clearly written by someone who had never been in a high-stakes government meeting at 7pm.
That’s when I started learning the science behind what my body was actually doing. Stress physiology. Nervous system regulation. Hormonal health. Behavioral change science. Not to optimize myself, but to understand myself. And then I left federal service to help other women do the same.

What I believe about health and high-responsibility women
I believe your body is not broken. I believe your exhaustion is not a personal failure. I believe that the women who hold the most together, professionally, personally, and in their communities, are the least likely to receive care that actually fits their lives.
The Wellness Shift Co. exists to change that. Not by adding to your to-do list. Not by handing you a protocol that worked for someone with a different life. Outside of coaching, I live the work I teach, movement, recovery, connection, and enjoyment without guilt. Wellness, for me, is about building a life that feels supportive and sustainable, not perfect.
